Job title: Risk Director
Salary: Competitive – six figure package
Location: Flexible – travel will be required
Deadline: 28 May 2019
The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) is a non-departmental public body created through the Energy Act 2004 and our mission is to clean up the legacy from the UK’s earliest nuclear sites, safely, securely and with care for people and the environment.
Although our mission remains the same, the way in which we organise ourselves is evolving. Under One NDA, we are transforming how we manage some of our businesses to find more effective and efficient ways of providing nuclear clean-up and decommissioning on behalf of the tax payer.
One NDA plans to capitalise on this wealth of experience and talent, harnessing the opportunities that come from the scale and breadth of our group. Internal audit will continue to play a key role in providing independent assurance of the organisation’s risk management, governance and internal control processes.
Reporting to the Group Director of Risk and Assurance, we now require a Risk Director to be responsible for the design, development and implementation of the Risk Management framework for across the NDA group, supporting the Executive, NDA Board, the Audit & Risk Assurance Committee and the Accounting Officer.
As Risk Director, you will continually adapt and improve our processes for working together across the NDA group. You will identify and manage strategic and delivery risks, demonstrating robust planning and forecasting. Your open style of leadership and focus on functional collaboration will help create alignment with organisational needs and stakeholders.
