Campbell Tickell are proud to be recruiting to the role of Head of Governance at Orbit.

With more than 100,000 customers, Orbit is one of the country’s leading providers of social housing – a sector-leading multi-regional, growing and innovative housing group with 46,500 homes in the Midlands, the East and the South East.

With our Current Head of Governance retiring after a long and distinguished period of service, we are now seeking a new Head of Governance to join our leadership team. This is a role that will lead the development and continuous improvement of the overall governance of the Group, ensuring that all statutory and regulatory requirements are met, and that our ambitious plans are delivered safely, and in a compliant manner.

But this role is about more than compliance. We want our Head of Governance to bring the experience and knowledge to proactively influence and advise the Board, providing appropriate guidance and support where needed to ensure that governance best practice is embedded throughout the organisation. So, your ability to have a personal impact across all levels of the organisation, and your evolved influencing and collaborative working skills will be critical.

Qualified (co sec or legal), you will have well-developed insight into working in a regulated environment and understand the systems and relationships that support a Board’s good governance role. You will likely bring experience of the social housing sector and its regulatory regime, but any additional wider experience gained in other regulated sectors would also be welcome.
