The IRM is delighted to announce a new global ambassador for the USA, focusing on the East Coast states. The IRM’s network of global ambassadors support the international work of the Institute.
Linda Conrad SIRM is Principal, Corporate and Information Security Risk Management at Exelon Corporation. She was previously the Director of Strategic Business Risk at Zurich Insurance Group.
Linda holds a Technical Specialist designation from the IRM, and has served on its Education Advisory Board. She was a deputy member of the ERM Committee of RIMS, served on the Supply Chain Risk Leadership Council, and was Chairwoman of the Asian Risk Management Conference. She also worked on the World Economic Forum Global Risks Report.
She chaired a project to deliver a ground-breaking cyber security portal with the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the University of Maryland, where she is an adjunct Professor at RH Smith School of Business.
Linda also taught at the University of Delaware Captive program and on the Masters on Supply Chain Management program at University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, where she also served on the Corporate Advisory Council. She studied at Dickinson College, the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva, Switzerland and Fox Business School.

“It is a pleasure and an honour to be part of the global ambassador’s network for the IRM. I look forward to working further with my fellow IRM colleagues and members and to helping people across the USA find out about, and benefit from the services that the IRM provides.
For example the IRM has recently seen enormous interest in the US around online training in cyber risk management and its new Digital Risk Management Certificate”.

“This is an exciting development for the IRM to be able to reach out to members who are experts in their field and leverage their expertise in home markets, Linda is now one of several Global Ambassadors representing the IRM we’re delighted to have her on board especially with her industry knowledge and expertise. We have had growing interest in IRM’s training and qualifications from the US in recent years, particular following the launch of our unique digital risk management certificate. Linda’s appointment will help us further raise awareness in the US of what IRM’s global approach has to offer.
The IRM has recently expanded (through our partnership with Pearson Vue) the number of locations where IRM exams can be taken globally to over 5000 with 1800 of those being in the US.
