Dorothy Maseke

IRM Board member and East Africa Regional Group Chair Dorothy Maseke, CMIRM, recently gave a presentation to Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) colleagues working across Somalia.  The session addressed risk-sharing approaches in humanitarian action globally and discussed how and why this is important for aid actors responding to the current famine crisis in the horn of Africa.

The session gave partners the opportunity to learn from best practice to reduce and share operational risk, whilst promoting efforts to scale up humanitarian assistance in inaccessible and hard-to-reach areas and increase marginalized groups’ access to assistance.

The recording can be accessed here (Dorothy’s presentation is at 7 minutes 52 seconds).
